Summer Tutoring

Since most courses at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have moved online for the summer 2020 semester, TLC will offer our services remotely via Microsoft Teams.

If you want to participate in remote tutoring, please make sure you have a working microphone on your device and follow the steps below. Microsoft Teams is part of Office 365, so every UL Lafayette student has access to this product for free.

How to Access TLC Tutoring via MS Teams

1. First, you will need to schedule an appointment. Here is how you schedule an appointment

2. Once your appointment is scheduled, you will be added to the TLC Tutoring Team on MS Teams. You will be able to access the TLC Tutoring Team quickly and easily from the MS Teams app by clicking the Teams icon.

You will also receive a confirmation email with a link to the TLC Tutoring Team site. Since our appointment software does not allow us to hyperlink URLs, you will need to copy and paste the URL into a Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. The link will prompt you to open MS Teams.

If you have or want to download the MS Teams desktop app, select “Open Microsoft Teams.” If you do not want or have the app, you can choose to open it through the web app.

3. Once you’ve entered the TLC Tutoring Team, please start a new conversation. A TLC desk assistant, tutor, or staff member will greet you and confirm your reason for joining.

Scheduling Virtual Tutoring Appointment

The best way to schedule meetings will be through our chatbox (located on our website) or through Microsoft Teams! Just chat with @jami.rush or @laura.norman1 and we can help you in real time.

All students have a Teams account through the University! How to Get Microsoft Teams
