The University is committed to the role of the academic advisor to inform, guide, empower, and encourage students from orientation to graduation. While students are responsible for their academic progress, advisors assist with educational planning that leads to timely graduation.
The Advising Handbook is a helpful comprehensive guide, while being concise and readable. The Advising Toolbox provides links to available resources that may be necessary during the advising process such as the Catalog, Degree Audit, and GradesFirst, to name a few.
Ongoing training is available for all undergraduate advisors. On the Advisor Trainings page topics of the training sessions for this semester are available as well as online advisor trainings. The last section highlights the Outstanding Advisor Awards offered each spring semester.
