The Academic Success Center, with support from the University campus community, offers undergraduate advisor training each semester.  The training sessions are an important part of ensuring that we provide the best academic advising experience for our advisors and students.

The First-time Advisor Training Series will prepare new faculty with the knowledge and expertise to successfully serve as an academic advisor to students in your area.  

 

NEW ADVISOR REQUIRED TRAININGS -- SPRING, 2023

In order to have advisor privileges before the advising period, new advisors will need to attend/complete the following trainings bolded below.

1.  Best Practices for Effective Advising & Student Profile                      (Conducted in person)

             February 17th  at 11:00 a.m. in Lee Hall room 208

                         OR

            February 28th at 3:00 p.m. in FGM room 201

Once you have completed the above trainings, please fill out the New Advsior Tab paperwork, found here,  and submit to the Academic Success Center via email -- success@louisiana.edu

The Summer & Fall 2023 advising session begins March 13th.
