Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the application fee for reentry?
A: $5

Q: Will my older coursework still be accepted?
A: In many cases older credits still count, depending upon the major you choose and whether the courses are still the same. Your Dean will evaluate your transcript during your first semester of reenrollment. For more information, see our transfer students page.

Q: How long will my application take to process?
A: If possible, apply the semester before you plan to enroll, so you may be eligible for early advising and registration. If early registration has passed, allow at least two weeks prior to the semester you plan to enroll, so you have time to make contact with an advisor before regular registration begins.

Q: How do I get my PAC (Personal Access Code) to register?
A: PACs are permanent now. However, each student has an advising hold placed on his/her account each semester. After you are advised, your advisor will lift the hold and you will then be eligible to register for classes.

Q: How do I find out who my advisor is?
A: After your application is processed, you will receive a letter with contact information regarding advising in the college of your major. It is best to be advised by your faculty advisor in the department of your major. If you are having difficulty reaching your advisor, contact reentry@louisiana.edu in Junior Division.

Q: Am I required to attend orientation?
A: There is no mandatory orientation for reentry students, however, if you have been out of school for several years, attendance at an adult orientation is recommended.
