PASS-PORT Support and Resources
 
Pass-Port is a service provided by iLAT for education majors. The Learning Center will help students to the best of our abilities; however, at times we do not have all the answers. Therefore, Pass-Port assistance is also available through helpdesk@pass-port.org

Logging into PASS-PORT for the First Time
 
  1. Open your internet browser.
  2. Browse to www.louisiana.edu.
  3. Click the 'ULink' link on the bottom of the page.
  4. Sign into ULink using your UCS username and password.
  5. After you get logged in, click the 'Tutoring' tab at the top of the page.
  6. Scroll all the way down and click the 'Access PASS-PORT Now' link.
  7. You will then be prompted to pay for a subscription for PASS-PORT (Mastercard is not accepted at this time). If you need help with your subscription you can contact the helpdesk@pass-port.org
  8. Once you've completed your subscription you must go back through ULink and the 'Access PASS-PORT Now' link and You're logged into PASS-PORT!
If, after following the above steps, you get to a PASS-PORT login page asking for another username and password, you need to come visit The Learning Center (Lee Hall 213) so that we can activate your account!
 

 
Viewing Pop-up Windows in PASS-PORT
 
PASS-PORT uses pop-up windows in your browser to bring you information. If you're not seeing pop-up windows, use the following procedure.

Internet Explorer
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click 'Tools' at the top.
  3. Browse to 'Pop-Up Blocker' and click 'Pop-up Blocker Settings'.
  4. In the first line under 'Address of Web Site to allow:' type pass-port.org.
  5. Click 'Add' then 'Close.
  6. That should allow you to have popups blocked from other sites but let PASS-PORT popup boxes for you.
  7. If you have the Yahoo! toolbar or Google toolbar installed, you might have to follow similar steps for them. See their help files for how to do it.
 

 
Upload/Submit File to Teacher in PASS-PORT
 
  1. Login to PASS-PORT. Problems?
  2. Click the grey 'Artifacts' tab on the top of the page.
  3. Next, click the blue file icon. It has a picture of a disk and 3 question marks on it.
  4. Click the blue 'Upload File Here' buttom in the upper-right section of the page.
  5. In the pop-up that comes up, click the 'Browse' button. No pop-up?
  6. In the box that comes up, navigate to your file.
  7. Double-click it.
  8. Type a nickname for it in the next box. This is what your professor will see.
  9. Click 'Submit' and wait until the file shows up in the PASS-PORT window.
  10. Under the file that just showed up, you should see a 'Submit for Review' link. Click it.
  11. Click the button next to 'Course Based Evaluation'. Click Next.
  12. In the drop-down list, choose your professor. Click Next.
  13. Type a note to your professor. This is mandatory. Click Next.
  14. Review everything that you've done, and when you're ready to submit, click Finish.
