Catalog of Transfer Credit

The courses in the catalog of transfer credit reflect those that have been evaluated by academic Colleges or Departments of UL for transfer equivalency. The catalog should be used as a resource for students planning to transfer to the University. The course evaluation process is ongoing and may not be an exclusive list of all transferable courses.

Transfer Credit Examples:

Direct Equivalent - If a course is considered as a direct equivalent to a UL course, the course will be given the corresponding UL course number.

        ENGL 1010 Rhetoric and Composition = ENGL 101 English Composition I

Evaluated course but no direct equivalent - If a course has no UL direct equivalent but is transferable to the University as an elective by title.

        ENGL 2035 American Major Writers = ENGL 2XX Major American Writers

 

The maximum number of credits from a junior college or community college applicable toward a degree is 60 semester hours.

 

Memorandums of Understanding:

For students receiving an AS in Pre-Engineering at BRCC and wish to continue with a BA at UL Lafayette in the College of Engineering.

For students receiving an AS in Computer Science at BRCC and wish to continue with a BA at UL Lafayette in Computer Science or Informatics.
