| A 25 Plus Adult Student must be a degree-seeking first time freshman 25 years of age or older. Adults must have graduated from high school or have received their GED. Adults admitted under 25 Plus do not meet the published admission requirements for the current semester; however, they will be offered Guaranteed Admission. This admission status entitles 25 Plus Adults to the same services available to other degree-seeking students. | |||||||||||||||||||

Qualifications for 25 Plus Adult Admission By definition, a 25 Plus Adult Student must be a degree-seeking first time freshman 25 years of age or older. Adults must have graduated from high school or have received their GED. Adults admitted under 25 Plus do not meet the published admission requirements for the current semester; however, they will be offered Guaranteed Admission. This admission status entitles 25 Plus Adults to the same services available to other degree-seeking students. |

ACT or SAT Scores 25 Plus Adult Students will be placed in the appropriate English or Mathematics course based on their ACT or SAT scores (if available). Students who have not taken the ACT or SAT will be given an on campus placement test. |

Other Requirements 25 Plus Adult Students are also required to take Academic Skills (ACSK) 100, Freshman Seminar. An adult section is available during the Fall and Spring semesters, please make every effort to register for this section. |

| Placement Exam Schedule | |||||||||||||||||||
Students who do not have ACT or SAT scores are required to take the ACT Residual or both the English and Math Placement Exams. Below is a list of times the exams will be given. Scores from these exams are required before students can be placed in classes. Please make every effort to take these exams at the soonest possible date. |

ACT Residual A student that has never taken the ACT/SAT exam may be eligible to take ACT residual exam administered on the UL Lafayette campus. The cost is $35 per exam. Contact Counseling & Testing Office (337-482-5163; Olivier Hall, Second Floor) for exams dates and times. Students taking the exam should report to the HL Griffin Hall First Floor Lobby no later than 30 minutes before the desired exam is scheduled to begin. Each student must have a picture ID, $35 in cash or money order only, a calculator and a #2 pencil. Pre-registration is not required |

English Placement Exam Every Thursday the Counseling & Testing Office located in Olivier Hall Second Floor will give the English Placement Exam. Students will need to provide $10 and a picture ID in order to take the exam. |

Math Placement Exam The Math Placement Exam is given before the semester begins. There is no fee for the exam. Students should contact the Mathematics department for dates and times. |
